FDA & EU Food-Contact Compliance

Disposable food packaging sold into the US or EU must meet food-contact material regulations. Here is what buyers should ask for and what we provide.

FDA & EU Food-Contact Compliance
  • FDA — food-contact polymers are regulated under 21 CFR, e.g. 177.1520 (PP) and 177.1630 (PET). Confirm your supplier holds compliant resin declarations and migration test reports.
  • EU — Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 sets overall and specific migration limits for plastic food-contact materials. Ask for conformity declarations covering your intended use.
  • Use conditions matter — temperature and contact time change the compliance picture, so state your real application (cold chain, hot fill, microwave).
  • What we provide — resin certificates, third-party migration reports and declarations of conformity on request, per order and per material.
